Next to our 3D Printer a laser cutter/engraver was a tool that has long been on the wishlist. This will be another video series on how to DIY with of the shelf electronics and a surprising “hack” for the controller that gives plenty of processing power and connectivity, while still being ultra cheap.

After this weekends build-up of the controller, electronics and mechatronic, a couple of successful NEJE 40640 Dual Diode FAC 40W Laser fire tests ended the day. Now all that is missing is the frame and bearings and the modeling of the 3D printed parts that are needed to glue the CoreXY frame together.
